We are Hoover Lacrosse.
In 2006, Chris Cos founded the Bucs Lacrosse program and served as Varsity Boys Head Coach for its first seven seasons. Under Cos’ leadership the Hoover Boys High School lacrosse team rose rapidly to compete at a high level. Varsity won three straight Alabama State Lacrosse Championships beginning with the 2008 season and added a state-record fourth title in 2013. Hoover Lacrosse has fielded 4 US Lacrosse All-Americans, 2 US Lacrosse All-Academics and has had over 35 players go on to play in college (DI, DII, DIII & club). Hoover’s current Varsity Head Coach is former Bucs captain John Wittig. Hoover Boys Lacrosse is a charter program member of the Alabama High School Lacrosse Coaches Association; is part of the Greater Birmingham Youth Lacrosse Association; and was among the very first lacrosse teams in Alabama to be recognized as a club within its high school.
